Color by Number Lab (“we”, “us”) publishes free color by number pages at colorbynumberlab.com, both as printables and as pictures you can color online. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit, why, and what you can do about it.
The short version
- There are no accounts, and we never ask for your name, address or payment details.
- Your coloring progress is saved in your own browser, not on our servers.
- We use analytics to understand which pictures people use.
- We may show advertising, which involves third-party cookies.
- We don’t sell your personal information.
Information we collect
Information you give us
Only what you choose to send. If you email us, we receive your email address and your message, and keep them only as long as we need to reply. We don’t add anyone to a mailing list.
Your coloring progress
When you color a picture online, the spaces you have filled are saved in your browser’s local storage so you can come back to it. That information never leaves your device. Clearing your browser’s site data deletes it.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly every website, our hosting and analytics record technical details of a visit: the pages viewed, the page or search that led there, approximate location derived from the IP address (city or region, not street level), browser and device type, screen size, language, and the time of the visit. We use this in aggregate to see which pictures are popular and what is broken or slow.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) for aggregate traffic measurement, processed as described in Google’s privacy policy. You can opt out across all sites with Google’s browser add-on.
Advertising
This site is free and may be supported by advertising. Advertising partners and their vendors may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure ad performance and, where permitted, to show ads relevant to your interests, and may receive your IP address, browser details and the pages you view. We don’t receive or store the personal information they collect, and we don’t sell personal information. Where the law requires consent for personalized advertising, including in the EU and UK, you will be shown a consent notice and can change your choice at any time. US residents can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising through the same notice or by emailing us. Industry-wide opt-outs are available at optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
Children’s privacy
Color by Number Lab is a general-audience site for families, teachers and adult colorers. Children do use the pictures, on paper and online, and the site is built so that this involves no personal information: there are no accounts, no chat, no uploads and no forms, and online progress stays on the device. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email hello@colorbynumberlab.com and we will delete it.
How long we keep data
Analytics data is retained in aggregate for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically. Emails are kept only as long as they are useful for answering you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict its use, to receive a copy, or to opt out of its sale or sharing. These rights apply under the EU and UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, and comparable laws elsewhere. To exercise them, email hello@colorbynumberlab.com. We will respond within the time the law allows and will never charge you for asking. If you are in the EU or UK and unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Significant changes will also be noted on this page.
